Dr Jacqui Nicholson grew up in regional NSW, and graduated from the University of NSW in 2012. Prior to GP training, she was a registrar in urology and general surgery, and recently moved to Canberra from Inner Sydney.
Dr Jacqui loves the outdoors, once aspiring to be a mountain patroller or professional traveller. She studied expedition medicine whilst trekking to Everest Base Camp, and is a qualified ski instructor. She has also spent time volunteering as a medical student in Timor, remote PNG and the Solomons.
Her interests include sexual health, reproductive health, and gender diverse medicine. She is an S100 prescriber (including HIV medication and PrEP), and is trained to provide medical termination of pregnancy services. Dr Jacqui has marched with the Doctors' Float in the Sydney Mardi Gras Parade, and is a proud ally of the LGBTQI+ community.
