Philip moved from medical nursing at The Canberra Hospital to nursing in general practice in the 1990s, when the practice received a grant to supply enhanced support for HIV management. Over the years this venture transitioned into the ACT Medicare Local’s HIV Program. Today he continues to work with partner organisations to provide services aimed at reducing the impact of STIs in the Canberra area.
